Duvet and Duvet Cover Sizes in Canada: Check the Measurements

A duvet and its cover should be chosen together by their measurements. A label such as Queen or King is a useful starting point, but the listed width and length tell you whether the two pieces match.

If you are shopping for bedding in Canada, measure your current duvet before ordering a new cover. If you are buying both pieces, compare their product specifications side by side.

Camelus adult duvet and cover dimensions

The following measurements apply to our adult camel wool duvet and current eucalyptus lyocell blend duvet cover sets. They are Camelus product dimensions, not a universal size chart for every bedding brand.

The product size selector may display Queen for the Full/Queen option. Use the 90 × 90 inch measurement to check compatibility.

How to measure your duvet

1. Remove the duvet cover and lay the insert flat.
2. Measure from edge to edge across the width, without stretching the fabric.
3. Measure its length from the top edge to the bottom edge.
4. Write down both measurements and compare them with the cover listing.

For example, a Camelus Full/Queen duvet measures 90 × 90 inches. Its matching cover is also listed at 90 × 90 inches. Do not assume a cover from another brand will match simply because it says Queen.

Check how much coverage you want on the bed

The duvet-cover fit and the coverage on your bed are separate decisions. First choose matching duvet and cover measurements. Then consider how far you want the duvet to fall over the sides and foot of the bed.

A thicker mattress, a higher bed or two people sharing the duvet can affect the coverage you prefer. Measuring your existing bedding on the bed is a practical way to judge the look and feel you want before changing sizes.

What comes in a Camelus cover set?

Each set includes one duvet cover and two matching pillowcases, including the Twin set. A duvet insert is purchased separately. The fabric is 60% organic cotton and 40% eucalyptus lyocell in White, Light Beige and Turquoise.

Check your pillow dimensions too. The King set has larger pillowcases than the Twin and Full/Queen sets.

Corner ties help keep matching pieces aligned

Camelus covers have ties inside each corner. Our camel wool duvets have corner loops. Fasten the cover ties through the corresponding loops when putting the cover on to help reduce shifting and bunching. These attachments support the fit; they do not compensate for substantially different measurements.

What about the kids duvet?

The Camelus kids duvet measures 37 × 57 inches. It needs a cover chosen for that measurement. Our adult Twin cover measures 66 × 86 inches, so it is not the matching size for the kids duvet.
