Duvet and Duvet Cover Sizes in Canada: Check the Measurements
October 6, 2026Your duvet and its cover work together on the bed, but they need different cleaning routines. Camelus camel wool duvets must not be machine washed or tumble dried. Our cotton–eucalyptus lyocell blend covers can be warm washed on a gentle cycle, following the sewn-in care label.
Keep the two items separate for cleaning, and use the label on each item as your starting point.
Camel wool duvet care
Our adult camel wool duvet has 100% camel wool filling and a lightly quilted, 100% organic cotton shell. The cotton shell does not mean the entire duvet is machine washable.
- Use a duvet cover.
- Air the duvet regularly.
- Do not machine wash.
- Do not tumble dry.
- Dry clean when necessary, following the care label.
When arranging professional cleaning, show the cleaner the label and explain that the insert is filled with camel wool. Avoid using the cover’s washing instructions for the duvet itself.
Remove the cover before laundering
- Open the cover and locate the corner attachments.
- Untie the cover ties from the duvet’s corner loops.
- Remove the duvet carefully rather than pulling it out while the corners are still attached.
- Set the insert aside and check the cover and pillowcase care labels.
Undoing the ties makes separation easier and avoids placing unnecessary strain on the attachments. The duvet should remain outside the washing machine.
Cotton–eucalyptus lyocell cover care
Our current duvet cover sets contain 60% organic cotton and 40% eucalyptus lyocell. The blend is the same in White, Light Beige and Turquoise. Each set includes one cover and two pillowcases.
- Warm gentle machine wash.
- Do not bleach.
- Tumble dry low.
- Warm iron.
- Always follow the sewn-in care label.
Check your machine’s programme and temperature settings before starting the wash. If a care label differs from general website guidance, follow the label on the item and contact us if you need clarification.
Putting your bedding back together
Make sure the cover is dry before fitting it over the duvet. Spread the insert flat, align the cover corners and fasten each tie through its matching duvet loop. Finish bringing the cover over the insert, smooth it across the bed and close it.
Corner ties and loops help keep the duvet aligned inside the cover. If the insert bunches, check whether a tie has come loose and compare the dimensions of the two pieces.
Frequently asked questions
Can I wash the duvet and cover together?
No. The cover can be laundered according to its care label, but the Camelus camel wool duvet must not be machine washed or tumble dried. Separate them first.
Can I tumble dry the duvet on a low setting?
No. The low tumble-dry instruction applies to the cotton–lyocell cover set, not to the camel wool duvet.
Does a cover replace cleaning the duvet?
A cover is part of the care routine, but the duvet may still need professional cleaning when necessary. Air it regularly and follow its care label.
Where can I ask about a stain or a damaged label?
Contact our Canadian team with the product name and your question before trying a cleaning method that is not listed on the label.
